August 18th, 2008Berbatov angles for ‘dream’ move
Tottenham’s Dimitar Berbatov has dropped his clearest hint yet that he sees his future away from the club.
Manchester United have already had a £20.5m bid rejected for Berbatov, 27, though Spurs remain reluctant sellers.
“I’m now in Tottenham but no-one can disagree with me wanting to follow my dream,” said the Bulgarian striker.
It is believed he handed in a transfer request last week and he was left on the bench for Spurs’ first game of the season on Saturday at Middlesbrough.
Berbatov’s agent Emil Dantchev was even more direct in his comments on the player’s future.
